Arrive at Jammu, famously known as the City of Temples. From here, drive to Katra (approximately 45 km / 1–1.5 hours), the base town for the holy Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. On arrival in Katra, check in to your hotel and rest after your journey. The evening is free for leisure or a short exploration of the local market. Overnight stay at Katra.
After an early breakfast, proceed to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Cave Shrine, located 12 km from Katra in the lap of the Trikuta Mountains at an altitude of 5,200 feet. This is one of India’s most popular pilgrimage destinations, attracting devotees from across the country.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Patnitop, a beautiful hill resort perched on a plateau at an altitude of 2,024 meters, located along the Jammu–Srinagar Highway. The drive offers stunning views of lush valleys, dense forests, and snow-capped peaks (seasonal).

If time permits, proceed to Sanasar, a cup-shaped meadow surrounded by gigantic conifer forests, offering adventure and photography opportunities. En route, you may also stop at Nathatop, another famous viewpoint with panoramic vistas.
The rest of the day is free for personal activities, relaxation, or optional adventures. Overnight stay at Patnitop.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin the scenic drive to Pahalgam, famously known as the “Valley of Shepherds”. The journey passes through the Chenani-Nashri Tunnel, Ramban, Batote, and the Banihal Tunnel, offering stunning views of the Himalayan mountains, rivers, and valleys along the way.
On arrival in Pahalgam, transfer to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Pahalgam is an idyllic hill resort located on the banks of the Lidder River and Sheshnag River, surrounded by lush meadows and snow-capped peaks. It serves as the base for treks in the region and the annual Amarnath Yatra, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and enjoying the serene beauty of a traditional Himalayan resort. Overnight stay at Pahalgam.
After breakfast, head out to explore Aru Valley, renowned for its scenic meadows and peaceful environment. The valley serves as a base camp for trekkers heading to the Kolahoi Glacier and is ideal for photography and nature walks.
Next, visit Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood film “Betaab”. Surrounded by lush green meadows, dense forests, and snow-capped mountains, it is one of the most picturesque valleys in Kashmir. Continue to Chandanwari, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra, where the pristine environment and flowing streams create a serene atmosphere.
In the afternoon, you can visit Basarahan Valley by pony ride (on direct payment). This large grassy meadow with rolling hills is a visual delight and serves as an ideal campsite for trekkers planning to continue to Tulian Lake. Return to Pahalgam by evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive from Pahalgam to Gulmarg (approximately 150 km / 4 hours), enjoying scenic views along the way. En route, visit the Mattan Temple, an ancient Hindu shrine dedicated to Goddess Shakti, and pass through Pampore, famous for its saffron fields. You will also have the opportunity to see a local cricket bat factory and apple orchards, showcasing Kashmir’s traditional crafts and horticulture.
On arrival in Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers” and situated at 8,800 feet above sea level, check in to your hotel. Gulmarg, a former favorite summer retreat of the British, is renowned for its quaint village charm, old-fashioned hotels, and natural beauty. It also features the highest 18-hole golf course in the world and serves as a popular ski resort in winter. After lunch, you can enjoy an optional Gondola ride to Apharwat and Khilanmarg, offering breathtaking views of snow-covered slopes and lush meadows, perfect for photography, skiing, or pony rides. After breakfast, drive from Gulmarg to Srinagar (approximately 56 km / 1.5 hours). On arrival, check in to your hotel or houseboat and relax for a while.
In the afternoon, enjoy an optional Shikara ride on Dal Lake (on direct payment). The ride will take you through the canals and backwaters of the lake, past floating gardens, lotus gardens, and vegetable gardens. You can also visit local handicraft centres, including paper-making workshops and wood carving factories, to experience the traditional arts and crafts of Kashmir. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, the “Meadow of Gold”, located at an altitude of 2,690 meters above sea level. On the way, enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Sind Valley, with its lush meadows, flowing rivers, and snow-capped peaks. Sonamarg, carved over ages by the mighty Indus River, is a paradise for trekkers and nature enthusiasts, with major trekking routes beginning here. The area also features the pristine Gadsar and Satsar Lakes on its periphery, adding to the valley’s charm.
On arrival in Sonamarg, visit the Thajiwas Glacier, where snow persists throughout the year, offering spectacular scenery and photography opportunities. In the late afternoon, return to Srinagar for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day local sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Start by visiting the Shankaracharya Temple, located atop a hill, offering stunning panoramic views of Srinagar city, Dal Lake, and the surrounding mountains. Next, explore the famous Mughal Gardens: Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure), which overlooks the emerald green waters of Dal Lake, Shalimar Bagh (Garden of Love), known for its terraced flower beds, fountains, and marble pavilions, and Chashme Shahi (Royal Spring), celebrated for its natural spring and beautifully landscaped gardens. If time permits, you can also visit the Hazratbal Shrine, a revered site located on the northern shore of Dal Lake.
