Tour Plan

Upon arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB), you will meet our local representative who will assist you in boarding the vehicle to Gangtok (5412 ft, approx. 130 km / 4–5 hrs). Once you reach Gangtok, check in to your hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Tshangu Lake (12,400 ft / 43 km / 2 hrs drive one way), a glacial lake known for its scenic beauty. From there, continue to New Baba Mandir (13,100 ft), located about an hour’s drive further. After completing the excursion, return to Gangtok and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Note:

  • Carry 2 passport-size photos and photocopy of Photo ID (Passport / Voter ID / DL). PAN & Aadhaar not accepted.
  • Children below 18 years must carry an English Birth Certificate with School/College ID.
  • In case Tshangu Lake is closed due to landslides or unforeseen reasons, alternate sightseeing will be arranged.
  • Foreigners/OCI/PIO have separate permit rules; inform in advance.

Optional: Nathula Pass (14,137 ft) visit at extra cost, open for Indian nationals only and closed on Mondays.

After breakfast, check out and begin a half-day Gangtok sightseeing tour, covering the Flower Show, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Do-Drul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, and Banjhakri Falls. After sightseeing, drive to Pelling (5500 ft / 116 km / 5–6 hrs). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and stay overnight.

Note: If Handicraft & Handloom and Tibetology Institute are closed (holidays/weekends), alternative visits such as Bakthang Waterfalls and Ropeway (ticket on direct payment) will be arranged.

Optional: Detour to Buddha Park, Ravangla.

After breakfast, begin your local sightseeing tour of Pelling, starting with Pemayangtse Monastery, Chenrezig Statue, and Skywalk. After lunch, continue your tour with visits to Rimbi Waterfall, the sacred Khecheopalri Lake (wishing lake), and the magnificent Kanchanjunga Waterfall. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Darjeeling (6710 ft, 125 km / 5–6 hrs). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Early in the morning around 4:00 AM (weather permitting), head to Tiger Hill (8482 ft) to witness the world-famous sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later, proceed for half-day sightseeing visiting the Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, and enjoy a panoramic Tea Estate tour. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Note: Tiger Hill visit depends on coupon availability (600 vehicles only); if unavailable, the visit will be arranged after breakfast.

Optional: Joy Train Ride (Darjeeling Himalayan Railway) at extra cost.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (approx. 100 km / 3–4 hrs) for your onward journey.

Optional: A detour to Pashupati Nagar (Indo–Nepal border) for shopping and Mirik Lake can be arranged at extra cost.

Note: For Pashupati Nagar, vehicles stop at Indian border; guests must walk or take a local taxi (INR 400–500 one way) to reach the market, 2 km away.

    • Any Air, Train, Bus or Cruise fares to or from your originating place, unless specified.
    • Table drinks, VIP Passes laundry, Room heater, porter, Horse, pony, tips, camera fee, ropeway charges, entrance charges,
    • Travel insurance, personal expenses of the clients.
    • Personal costs include laundry, phone calls, tipping, mineral water, soft and hard beverages, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, and porterage.
    • Additional sightseeing or car usage above what is specified in the schedule
    • Entrance fees of all sightseeing places to be visited from inside.
    • Any costs stemming from natural disasters such as landslides, road blockages, political disturbances (strikes), etc. (must be paid by the client, who is directly paying on the spot).
    • Anything specifically not mentioned in the ‘tour price includes’ column.
    • Any extra sightseeing, services, or activity charges other than those included in the itinerary

Terms & Conditions

  • The rates are subjects to change without any prior notice.
  • Accommodation in the itinerary at the mentioned hotels or the similar hotels.
  • The confirmation is subjects to availability and prior payment.
  • Room allocation is done by the hotel depending upon availability at the time of check-in the category of room as specified on your confirmation voucher.
  • Extra bed means Extra mattress.
  • No refund will be made for any unused accommodation, missed meals, transportation segments sightseeing tours or any other service due to Bad weather, ill health, Strike, Road blocks or any other factor beyond our Control. Such unused items are neither refundable nor exchangeable.
  • No refund shall be claimed, if the services & amenities of hotel were not up to your expectations, it will be considered on case-to-case basis Confirmation policy.
  • Token amount is nonrefundable.
  • Price quoted are subject to availability at time of confirmation, we are currently not holding any blocking against the sent quotation.
  • Tour prices are valid for Indian Nationals & Foreigners holding Indian Resident Permit.
  • Booking confirmations are subject to availability.
  • All Hotels Rooms are subject to availability.
  • We are not holding any reservations of air seats, hotel rooms, conference rooms etc. Final availability status will only be known when we request for bookings.
  • Holiday Surcharge will be additional if applicable
  • Any overstay expenses due to delay or change or cancellation in flight will be on the guests own & Exploring Holidays India will not be held liable for such expenses however we will provide best possible.
  • Any GST charged on any transaction will not be refunded.

Payment Policy

  • The Above package can be booked/ hold by paying token amount which is 30% of the total amount for booking
  • The client has to complete 80% (30+50 %) of total amount within one month from the booking date.
  • The remaining 20% should be complete before 7 days prior to date of arrival.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 30 % of the Total Package Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 70% of the Total Package Cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 7-10 days before the start date of the trip, 85% of the Total Package cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • 100% cancellation would be charged from the total booking amount in case of 6 days prior or last-minute booking cancellation due to flight cancellation, any natural calamity, and change in flight schedule/ferry due to technical/weather and high tides and sea conditions.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and, in such cases, we will try our best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
  • 100% in case of non-refundable flight ticket / Hotel Room.
  • Any GST charged on any transaction will not be refunded.
