Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) / Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) and proceed toward Tezpur or Balipara. Enjoy the changing landscapes of the Assam valley as you travel. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Tezpur.
After breakfast, begin the journey to Dirang (5120 ft). En route visit the Tipi Orchid Centre and Sessa Orchid Sanctuary (best flowering season: late March to May). Continue the scenic uphill drive through forests and valleys before arriving in Dirang. Check in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Dirang.
Closure Note: The road from Tezpur to Dirang can get blocked due to landslides (near Tipi Research Center). In such cases, vehicles need to detour via Khalaktang (Rupa), adding 68 km (approx. 2 hrs). This detour involves no extra cost, but Tipi and Sessa sightseeing will not be possible.
After breakfast, drive to the beautiful Mandala Top, where you can step out and enjoy a peaceful walk amid the panoramic hills. A short downhill walk leads to a local monastery. Return to Dirang and visit the Dirang Monastery. After lunch, proceed for an excursion to the serene Sangti Valley, where you may stroll through the lush valley surrounded by rivers and mountains. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Dirang.
After breakfast, begin the picturesque drive to Tawang (10,000 ft). Visit the majestic Sella Pass and Sella Lake, both located at an altitude of 13,476 ft. Continue to see Jaswantgarh, a memorial dedicated to Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat. Before reaching Tawang, stop at the stunning Nuranang (Jang) Waterfall. Check in upon arrival. Overnight in Tawang.
After breakfast, visit the iconic Tawang Monastery (Gaden Namgyal Lhatse), founded in 1680–81 and known as one of the largest monasteries in Asia, housing over 450 monks today. Perched at 10,000 ft, it offers breathtaking views of the Tawang-Chu valley. Then visit the Urgelling Monastery, birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama. After lunch, visit the Tawang War Memorial, dedicated to Indian soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China War. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight in Tawang.
After breakfast, drive to Bumla Pass (15,200 ft), located 37 km from Tawang at the Indo-China border. Continue to the mesmerizing Shungatser (Madhuri) Lake (12,165 ft), known for its cinematic landscapes. While returning, take a photo stop at the scenic PTSO Lake. Drive back to Tawang and enjoy the evening at leisure. Overnight in Tawang.

Our vehicles are not permitted for Bumla, Madhuri Lake & PTSO Lake; local vehicles (non-AC Sumo/Xylo etc.) will be provided.
Bumla Pass involves special permits and documentation—guests must cooperate with required formalities.
After breakfast, drive back from Tawang to Dirang through the same scenic mountain route. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Evening free at leisure. Overnight in Dirang.
After breakfast, start the long but beautiful journey toward Guwahati. Drive through valleys, plains, and forests before reaching the city. Check in upon arrival. Overnight in Guwahati.
Early morning optional visit to Kamakhya Temple (outer view; VIP passes must be booked online by guests). Return to the hotel for breakfast, then proceed to Guwahati Airport (GAU) or Railway Station (GHY) for your onward journey.
