Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh, where you’ll meet our local representative for a transfer to your hotel. Take time to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude of about 11,000 ft.
In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely walk around Leh’s old town to get familiar with the charming local culture and surroundings. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.
After an early breakfast, set out for the Shyam Valley Excursion. Begin with a visit to the Hall of Fame Museum, dedicated to Indian Army heroes, followed by the sacred Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Continue to the fascinating Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to move uphill on their own, and then visit the Sangam Point, the stunning confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. In the evening, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa, built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. This beautiful monument symbolizes world peace and offers panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Nubra Valley via the world’s highest motorable road – Khardung La Pass (5,550 m / 18,380 ft). Stop at the top to enjoy mesmerizing panoramic views of Leh city and the surrounding snow-capped peaks. Continue your journey to Nubra Valley, located at the confluence of the Shyok and Nubra Rivers, once part of the ancient Silk Route. On arrival, check in at the camp or resort. Later, visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in the valley, offering spectacular views. Proceed to Hunder Village to explore the famous cold desert and enjoy a camel ride on the rare double-humped Bactrian camels (optional, on direct payment). Return to the camp by evening for dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
After an early breakfast, depart from Nubra Valley and drive towards the breathtaking Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok route. Enjoy the stunning views of rugged mountains, deep valleys, and snow-covered peaks along the journey. Located at an altitude of 4,267 meters, Pangong Tso is the world’s highest saltwater lake, stretching about 130 km in length and known for its changing shades of blue. Spend the evening admiring the serene beauty of the lake and the clear, star-lit sky. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay near Pangong Lake.
Wake up to a beautiful morning by Pangong Lake and enjoy breakfast at the camp. Later, drive back to Leh via the scenic Changla Pass (17,590 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Arrive in Leh by afternoon and check in at your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the local markets for souvenirs or simply relax at leisure. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
