After breakfast, drive towards Leh through mesmerizing landscapes. En route, visit the Lamayuru Monastery and experience the unique lunar terrain. On arrival, visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in the region, followed by a visit to Hunder’s cold desert to see the world-famous double-humped camels. After breakfast, drive towards Turtuk, the last Indian village before the Pakistan border. Turtuk is known for its unique culture, language, and history, being part of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. After an early breakfast, begin your scenic drive to Pangong Lake via the Shyok route. Enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-clad Himalayas along the way. Pangong Lake, situated at an altitude of 4,267 meters, is the world’s highest saltwater lake, extending between India and China. The lake is famous for its ever-changing hues of blue and green. Wake up to a beautiful sunrise over Pangong Lake and enjoy breakfast at your camp. Later, drive towards Hanley via the picturesque Chumathang region. After an early breakfast, check out and drive towards Tsomoriri, visiting Puga Valley on the way. Continue the scenic drive through changing landscapes to reach the tranquil Tsomoriri Lake, also known as “Mountain Lake.” Located at an altitude of 4,522 meters, the lake and its surroundings form part of the Tso Moriri Wetland Conservation Reserve. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Leh. Drive through scenic routes and high-altitude valleys, stopping at Mahey Bridge en route. Arrive in Leh by late afternoon and check in at your hotel.
