On arrival at Leh Airport, meet our local representative who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. Take full rest to acclimatize to the high altitude (11,000 ft+). In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk through the old town for self-orientation. Evening visit to Shanti Stupa, built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. The Stupa offers panoramic views of Leh and symbolizes world peace and Indo–Japanese friendship. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
After an early breakfast, leave for the Shyam Valley Excursion. Visit the Hall of Fame, a museum built by the Indian Army, followed by Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Then head to the famous Magnetic Hill, where vehicles seem to defy gravity, and later witness the stunning Sangam Point – the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Return to Leh by evening. After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via the world’s highest motorable road, Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft). Stop at the pass to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Leh. Drive down to Nubra Valley, located at the confluence of the Shyok and Nubra Rivers. On arrival, check in at your camp/resort. Later, visit Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in the region, and then head to Hunder Sand Dunes to see the famous double-humped Bactrian camels. Enjoy an optional camel ride and explore the cold desert landscape. Overnight stay at camp in Nubra Valley.
After breakfast, drive towards Turtuk, India’s last village before the Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan region and gateway to the Siachen Glacier. Turtuk offers a unique cultural experience with Balti traditions, apricot orchards, and stunning green pastures surrounded by rugged mountains. Return to Nubra by evening. Overnight stay at camp in Nubra Valley.
Have an early breakfast and set out for Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok route. Enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-clad Himalayas throughout the journey. At an altitude of 14,270 ft, Pangong Tso is the world’s highest saltwater lake, known for its ever-changing shades of blue. Spend your evening enjoying the tranquil beauty and starry night by the lake. Overnight stay at camp near Pangong Lake.
Enjoy a serene morning at Pangong before departing for Hanle via the Chumathang region. Hanle is a remote and hidden gem of Ladakh, home to the Indian Astronomical Observatory, one of the world’s highest observatories. The drive offers surreal views of the Changthang Plateau and the arid beauty of Ladakh. Overnight stay at guesthouse/camp in Hanle.
After breakfast, drive towards Tso Moriri Lake via the Puga Valley, known for its hot springs and geothermal activity. Admire the scenic landscapes and witness the changing hues of the surrounding mountains. At 14,835 ft, Tso Moriri (Lake Moriri) is the largest high-altitude lake entirely in India and a protected wetland conservation reserve. Check in at your camp near Korzok Village and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay at camp in Tso Moriri.
After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Mahey Bridge, passing through beautiful Ladakhi villages and the Chumathang hot springs. Arrive in Leh by late afternoon. Visit the Leh Palace and explore the local bazaar. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey, carrying unforgettable memories of your Ladakh expedition.
