Welcome to the land of high passes! On arrival at Leh Airport, meet our local representative who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. Take rest as you’ll need time to acclimatize to the high altitude (11,000 ft). In the afternoon, you may take a leisurely walk through the old Leh town to get familiar with the charming Himalayan city. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
After an early breakfast, proceed for the Shyam Valley Excursion. Visit the Hall of Fame, a museum built by the Indian Army, followed by Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a sacred Sikh shrine. Experience the unique phenomenon at Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to defy gravity. Continue your journey to the Sangam Point, the beautiful confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. In the evening, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa, built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. After breakfast, embark on an exciting drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft) – the world’s highest motorable road. Stop briefly to enjoy panoramic views of Leh city and the snow-covered peaks before descending to Nubra Valley. On arrival, visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest monastery in the region, and admire the giant Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Continue to Hunder Sand Dunes, where you can enjoy a camel ride on double-humped Bactrian camels (optional, at your own cost). Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
After a delicious breakfast, drive towards Turtuk, India’s last village before the Pakistan-controlled Gilgit-Baltistan region begins. Turtuk is one of Ladakh’s hidden gems — culturally and historically distinct, with Baltic influences visible in its people, language, and architecture. The landscape changes dramatically here, with lush green fields, fruit orchards of apricots and apples, and narrow valleys surrounded by towering mountains. Explore the village, interact with locals, and immerse yourself in its unique charm. Return to Nubra by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at camps in Nubra Valley.
After breakfast, drive to the mesmerizing Pangong Lake via Shyok route. Enjoy stunning views of the snow-clad Himalayan ranges and dramatic terrain along the way. Located at an altitude of 13,900 ft, Pangong Lake is the highest saltwater lake in the world, stretching about 130 km in length. Its waters famously change shades from blue to turquoise to green under sunlight. Spend the evening admiring the peaceful beauty of the lake and stargazing under a clear Himalayan sky. Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass (17,350 ft), one of the highest mountain passes in the world. Arrive in Leh by afternoon and check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for shopping at the local Leh market or relaxing at your own pace. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
