On arrival at Leh Airport, meet our local representative who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. Take ample rest to acclimatize to the high altitude (over 11,000 ft). In the evening, visit the Shanti Stupa, built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura. It offers a panoramic view of Leh city and the surrounding mountains. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, proceed for an exciting Shyam Valley Excursion. Visit the Hall of Fame, a museum built by the Indian Army; Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a revered Sikh shrine; and the famous Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to defy gravity. Continue to the Sangam Point, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers, a spectacular natural sight. Return to Leh in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), the world’s highest motorable road. Stop to enjoy breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. Continue your journey to Nubra, located at the confluence of the Shyok and Nubra Rivers. Visit the Diskit Monastery and the giant Buddha statue overlooking the valley. Later, visit Hunder Sand Dunes and enjoy a camel ride on double-humped Bactrian camels (optional, at own cost). Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra.
After an early breakfast, drive towards the mesmerizing Pangong Lake via Shyok. The route offers incredible views of the snow-clad Himalayas. Pangong Lake, located on the India–China border, is the highest saltwater lake in the world (13,900 ft). The lake’s waters famously change color from blue to green to turquoise. Spend the evening admiring the stunning surroundings and the star-lit sky. Dinner and overnight stay at Pangong.
Wake up to a beautiful sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive to Tsomoriri Lake, one of Ladakh’s most serene and less-explored destinations. En route, enjoy the changing landscapes and natural beauty. Tsomoriri Lake, nestled in the Rupshu Valley, offers a peaceful setting surrounded by lofty peaks. Dinner and overnight stay in Tsomoriri.
After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Mahey Bridge and Chumathang Village. Chumathang is famous for its natural hot sulphur springs, believed to have healing properties for skin and joint ailments. Enjoy the scenic drive along the Indus River. Arrive in Leh by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
